Overview
The Problem
Current professional networking platforms, often feel intimidating, and overly general. They do not cater to specific industries or interests, creating a very impersonal experince for users.
The Solution
Create a platform that is more approachable, with a specialized focus space such as tech. Curate unique user experiences that sets us apart from current networking platforms.
The Outcome
Integrate a swipe-based matching interface addressing the pain points that arise from current professional networking applications on the market. Aim to provide a more friendly and engaging networking experience by creating an inclusive environment for industry professionals to connect.
Phase 1 - DISCOVER
Ideation
Based on a survey of 2000 tech professionals in Vancouver, the following areas were highlighted as potential problem/solution spaces.

Taking this information, we began brainstorming the potential identities and demograhics of these 2000 participants to narrow down our target audience.
Phase 1 - DISCOVER
Audience
From analysing the participants of the survey, taking into account their pain points, and looking at the overall tech scene in Vancouver, we were able to narrow down our target audience into 4 user groups.

Phase 3 - design
Architecture
After having planned out some of the features our application would have, I made a detailed sitemap of the navigation links and the content each of these pages would have.

To begin creating initial wireframes, I used the sitemap map to build the information architecture of the application. This helped map out some of the input fields and interactions I'd have to design moving forward.

Phase 3 - design
Wireframes
Initial wireframes consisted only of the navigation screens:
Many of these intital screens were removed/changed through the course of wireframing as our goals for the app also changed.

Phase 3 - design
Design System
Twiine's design relies on it's design system which consists of simple colours and clean, legible spacing and scale. This was important to implement once I began finalising wireframes in order to maintain cohesion and consistency throughout the designs.
